Less competition was expected at the Koper World Challenge Cup this weekend in Slovenia, however, many showed up, and many delivered.
An exciting event at this years world cup was the rings final. Lots of packed routines, and lots of clean landings. A highlight was Donell Whittenburg’s triple pike dismount. He has been training it for months and finally put it in international competition. The skill will now forever remain as, the “Whittenburg”.
Whittenburg had an overall strong showing in Koper, , winning gold on parallel bars with a 14.750 and also taking silver on vault and floor with a 14.60 and a 14.30, respectively.
