After being granted a release from the University of Florida, Ashley Hiller and Lacy Dagen are on the hunt to find a new school to continue their junior years of college. However, Lacy Dagen’s search abruptly ended, when she found the perfect school for her, Oregon State. Dagen’s sister is also headed to OSU and will graduate in 2018. Lacy publicly announced her news shortly after she found out. The way she put it was:
“There’s another beaver in the Dagen house!!! I’m excited to announce that I will be continuing my academics and gymnastics at Oregon State University in the fall. Very grateful for this opportunity!!”
Lacy had a spectacular J.O. career and even competed elite. At Florida, she suffered from an ACL injury and sat out the 2016 season. However, that wasn’t the end of her bad luck. Sadly, Dagen tore her meniscus in this 2017 season after competing only once in the vault lineup, scoring a 9.85. Surgery was done on her knee on February 8th, and Lacy did not compete in any other meets.
There is lots of potential for Lacy Dagen to make her mark on this Oregon State team, and we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors!!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more!! 🙂
