What are you going to do this weekend? Watch college gymnastics, of course! Here are some routines to keep an eye out for.
10. Katelyn Ohashi Floor
As the Bruins come head to head with the Arizona Wildcats in another Pac-12 matchup, you should be sure to keep an eye out as Katelyn Ohashi takes on the role of a jewel-thief in her mesmerizing floor routine.
9. Rachel Slocum Floor
Now a Florida Gator, Rachel Slocum will invite you into her own party on floor. A fun-filled floor routine with plenty of enjoyable choreography, this floor routine is not one to miss.
8. Emma McLean Vault
Last week, this Michigan Wolverine debuted a new vault, a yurchenko 1 1/2 which has a 10.0 start value. Her first time competing the vault, and she gets a 9.975. She is surely a powerful gymnast and one to keep an eye out for this weekend.
7. Christine ‘Peng Peng’ Lee Bars
A jam-packed bar routine full of high-flying releases can be expected every week from this UCLA senior. It wouldn’t be surprising either if this amazing bar worker put up a 10.0! Even after multiple knee surgeries, this Canadian gymnast proves that nothing is impossible. Her beam routine is definitely another one to watch as well!
6. Maggie Nichols Floor
A beautiful performance aspect and difficult tumbling is shown through Maggie’s floor routine. Ranking number one on every single event, this Oklahoma freshman is for sure one to watch!
5. Ashleigh Gnat Vault
An LSU senior, Ashleigh Gnat performs an extremely difficult double twisting yurchenko vault and often sticks it! She is currently number two in the nation on this event and there is no doubt about it that you should watch her compete this weekend!
4. Kiana Winston Floor
Kiana Winston of Alabama always puts on a show on floor and has yet to score below a 9.85 on the event this year! Watch as she strives to score another perfect 10 this week!
3. Rachel Gowey Floor
One of my personal favorite routines on floor, she performs with such elegance and grace! Her tumbling is sky high and she even points her toes on a double back! She is a freshman for the Gators and can put up a big score if she hits.
2. Mykayla Skinner Floor
She is a new Utah Ute but boy does she sure have some difficult tumbling! Her floor is amazing and is sure to put up a big score this weekend!
- Maddie Karr Vault
The past few weeks, I’ve been sure to keep an eye out for the Denver freshman, Maddie Karr. Last week she scored a perfect 10 on vault and is capable of repeating this. A huge addition to Denver’s team and she has helped them to improve their team score’s tremendously this year.
Enjoy yourself this weekend while watching some NCAA Gymnastics and be sure to keep an eye out for these stellar routines! 🙂
