America To Send Stacked Team to 2016 Jesolo Trophy + American Cup Results! :)

The 2016 City of Jesolo Trophy will be held from March 19 -20th. The U.S. has announced that they will be sending 11 seniors and 4 juniors to the meet. Please take note that this roster is nominative and could be changed before the competition.

Simone Biles
Christina Desiderio
Emily Gaskins
Rachel Gowey
Sydney Johnson-Scharpf
Ashton Locklear
Ragan Smith
Lauren Hernandez
Aly Raisman
Emily Schild
Mykayla Skinner

Jordan Chiles
Emma Malabuyo
Gabby Perea
Deanne Soza

The leader of the pack is most likely 14 time world medalist Simone Biles. Noticeably missing from the roster are Gabby Douglas and Maggie Nichols who recently competed at the American Cup. Also, Alyssa Baumann, Bailie Key, and 2015 world champions; Madison Kocian, and Brenna Dowell. As far as juniors go, all four of them competed at the International Gymnix in Quebec just last week. All four of those juniors are not eligible for Rio, therefore they will not be being considered for Rio, however, they’re chances at making the 2020 olympics team (which will be hosted in Tokyo) are very high. On the junior side, all of the juniors are similar in skill level, however, Chiles is a little more experienced and has slightly more difficulty than the other 3 juniors.

American Cup, Results:

Now that I’ve finished talking about the Jesolo meet (and since I haven’t done a recap yet, which I may do in the future) I would just like to post the results from the AT&T American Cup that was this past weekend. So, without further ado, below are the results from the competition:
